An American led NATO airstrike on Taliban target killed five Afghan army troops early Thursday.
The drone airstrike happened at 3.30am.
Intelligence gathered shows that at 3.30am Thursday, a drone airstrike in Charkh district of Logar Province took place.
Five Afghan troops were killed and eight others were badly injured in the strike.
Afghanistan defense ministry spokesperson used radical terms to describe the incident citing ‘martyred’ as how the Afghan national army members died.
The incident is likely to further injure the already frosty relations between US and the President Karzai administration ahead of crucial Afghan presidential elections.
