A Somali member of parliament narrowly escaped death in Mogadishu the Somali capital in a morning drive-by shooting, intelligence sources confirm.
Somali MP Mayow Mustaf was seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting in Mogadishu while 2 other passengers died in the incident.
The MP suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest. He has been rushed to Medina a medical facility where he is being operated
The morning drive-by shooting at the Hamarweyne district of the capital Mogadishu left 2 people dead injured.
Mogadishu has become a killing ground of senior government officials.
Most of the killings are conducted by Al-Shabaab gunmen.
On Wednesday, a suicide bomber rammed his car on UN staff convoy as it entered Mogadishu airport killing 4 people.
Al-Shabaab has been on a steady decline but it is waging a bloody assassination campaign and militant strikes inside Somalia and in Kenya
