11th December 2015, Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has arrived in Kenya for a five-day state visit.
Upon arrival at JKIA on Friday morning, she was received by Deputy President William Ruto.
While in the country, Sirleaf is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenya before attending other two major conferences including the World Trade Organization conference (WTO).
She laid a wreath at the Mausoleum of the country’s founding president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta then preceded to Nairobi’s State House.
The visiting president also inspected a Guard of Honour and received a 21-gun salute.
On Saturday 12th December 2015, Sirleaf will join Kenyans at Nyayo National Stadium for Jamhuri Day celebrations.
On Monday 14th December 2015, the visit Head of State will attend the first edition of the International Forum on Women in Business.
The forum with be hosted by the Government of Kenya and the International Trade Center.
The trade event held in conjunction with 10th WTO Ministerial Conference is aimed at putting women contribution in trade and global economy at the limelight.
Tuesday 15th December, the Liberian president will attend the official opening of the WTO conference at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
