Iranian Illegal Spying Network Posing Security Threats To Kenya And Israeli Allies As Pairs Of Iranian Operatives Are Arrested

iranian spyHighlights:

On Saturday November 28th 2015, Kenya’s Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet announced the arrest of two Kenyans with links to Iranian spy terror network. Abubakar Sadiq Louw 69 and Yassin Sambai Juma, 25 were alleged to be colluding to orchestrate attacks on western targets in Kenya.

Background:

In 2014, two Iranians were arrested at the JKIA masquerading as Israeli nationals according to the passports and were suspected terrorists trying to infiltrate Kenya.

In 2013, three Iranians were arrested for using fake Greek passports while on Transit to London raising suspicions for their true intention.

In 2013 Nigerian authorities arrested Abdullahi Mustapha Berende and Saheed Oluremi Adewumi for assisting Iranian terror cells conduct terrorism acts especially Israeli targets in the country.

In June 2012, Ahmed Mohamud and Sayed Mausad; two Iranian operatives were arrested with over 15 kilos of the powerful RDX explosive with intention to mount attacks on targets in Mombasa and Nairobi and jailed for life.

Summary:

Cases of Iranians arrested in foreign countries most masquerading as citizens of other countries and working with local people to spy have been on the rise. The spy network has been dispatching its operatives in groups of two mostly to spy and create ground contact that is later exploited to mount attacks on targets.

Kenya Inspector General of police has said that there is irrefutable evidence linking Luow and Juma to Qods Force contact, Mojtaba Ghanbarian famously known as “Parsa” which is one of the world’s most trained and secretive squadron.

Iranian spy Network has overtime infiltrated countries who are western and Israeli allies with intention to mount attacks on the targets in major cities. However credible intelligence has emerged linking the network not only to foreign targets but also on innocent general populace.

Louw disclosed that he has recruited several youth in Kenya sending them to Iran where they received military training masked as fake scholarships. They are then dispatched to their home countries from where they spy and do reconnaissance for attacks on western targets.

Conclusion:

A pattern is slowly but steadily forming of Iranian Intelligence network having operatives in different countries with intentions of recruiting youths who are later used to conduct attacks on Western countries mostly allies of Israeli and the West.

This trend is worrying with the recent arrests in Kenya revealing a plausible intention to not only attack western targets but also the general populace. According to intelligence reports, youths are recruited with promises for fake scholarships only to receive intense military training and dispatched back to their home countries as spies.

Iran is gradually becoming a threat to many countries raising existing suspicion to an all-time high especially with terrorist outfits seeking to broaden their territories and advancing their agenda to all parts especially Africa and the Middle East.

Not everybody who is accused of terror links is actually guilty of the allegations. US/UK/France & Israel, whilst themselves engaged in acts of terrorism & work with notorious terrorist networks at home & abroad, have been weaving outlandish tales of terror plots against their enemies, principally Cuba and Iran. They have amended laws and forced poorer countries to amend their laws too to allow them to hold and charge mostly innocent civilians of unprovable “crimes” mainly for political reasons. Their jails are full of inmates who are being held for over a decade without trial just to frame their political opponents, be it Saddam, Gaddafi, Hizbullah or Iran. Often these poor victims are released without trial after being held and tortured for years due to lack of any evidence.
Now the two gentlemen in question have been accused of still unproven allegations. It must be stressed that they have denied these allegations through their lawyer and family spokespersons, through the social media & TV press conference aired by NTV. Again we see the hand of these foreign intelligence agencies behind the case. The IG has alluded as much in his statement without naming the agencies. From the language in the statement and the above report as well as reports in western and Israeli media, it is not difficult to see the usual culprits – Americans & Israelis. These are the same countries that bandy around the T word against opponents as it suits them. We applaud our security for at least according the two Kenyans an appointment with the court to get to the bottom of these allegations even if the IG jumped the gun by rushing to the press before allowing the court to weigh the evidence. We should not fall for scare tactics to deny anyone a fair trial. We are a country of rule of law. As we sing in our national anthem: “Let Justice be our Shield and Defender.” Injustice doesn’t keep anyone safe. We shouldn’t rely on injustice or the unjust to keep us safe.

We have to build cooperation with countries that are serious in the war on terror. I’m afraid I have no hope of such cooperation from our traditional so-called friends who subordinate all others to their national interests. We should explore links with countries like Russia, China & even Iran for such capability.

Kenya should also invest in its own youth to acquire such knowhow. We are blessed with a youth who has shown high capability and innovation in matters IT. The government just has to channel such talent to matters security.
