Kenya Police on Friday 12th August 2016 released a photo image of a terrorist operative affiliated to Boni forest Jaysh Ayman cell, active in Lamu County.
The police offered a bounty reward of Ksh 2 million for information that will lead to the arrest of the terrorist identified as Abdullahi Abdi Sheikh.

- Police report says he was among Al-Shabaab fighters who participated in the botched attack that targeted Baure KDF camp in Lamu on June 14th 2015.
- Abdullahi Abdi Sheikh Photo image was obtained from video that was recovered from a killed Al-Shabaab terrorist involved in the botched Baure attack.
- Items found at an abandoned Al-Shabaab camp in Boni Forest by Kenya Security teams, positively identified Abdullahi Abdi Sheikh. He is believed to be a terror operative with Jaysh Ayman responsible for recent attacks targeting security officers in Lamu.
- Abdullahi Abdi Sheikh also likely operates between Somalia and the volatile NEP Kenya.
- Police describe him as a fugitive of the law, armed and dangerous.
Police authorities have urged Kenyan citizens to remain vigilant and report any slight, suspicious activity or character to the nearest police station.
