The Kenya Police had no hand in the killing of a Garissa Muslim cleric, police sources in Kenya confirmed.
Police had no role in the alleged kidnapping and killing of the cleric who was also a businessman.
Muslim leaders in Garissa County have asked security officials to investigate the death speedily.
Mr Mohamed Ali Kheir alia sheikh Dawara was allegedly handcuffed and kidnapped on Thursday the 25th of December (Christmas Day) by unknown people as he walked along posta road in Garissa town.
He was reported missing then and his body was found in a water point in Embu.
