KDF Has deployed missile launching helicopters in Harbole area in the Southern Sector, in what seems to be a game change in the incursion againist the militant Al-Shabaab
Al-Shabaab positions several kilometers outside Afmadow were the targets after intelligence reports confirmed intents of the militants to attack Afmadow again.
Artillery fire and helicopter missiles were fired by KDF alongside TFG and Ras-Kamboni militia who are manning the Sector 2 area of the operation.
Intelligence reports gathered by Strategic Intelligence confirms many Al-Shabaab have been killed in the missile bombardment of these defensive positions.
Different types of warfare including ZPU anti aircraft guns used to fire at Kenya air defense assets doing sorties in the militant areas were completely destroyed
Several technical’s, (landcruiser pickups mounted with machine-guns such as the Mig 1/35 DShK “Dushka” Heavy Machine Gun were destroyed
Defensive positions of the terrorist affiliated to Al-Qaeda were completely neutralized.
The Sunday fighting has successfully eliminated the significant threat posed by pockets of resisting Al-Shabaab militants who are trying to regroup and wage a guerrilla war against the KDF/TFG and Ras Kamboni forces.
