March 23, 2016: Authorities in Ivory Coast have arrested 15 people in relation to the deadly terrorist attack in Grand-Bassam that killed 19 people.
The national prosecutor released the photo of a key suspect who was involved at a primary level in organizing and orchestrating the attack at the same beach resort earlier in March. The photo is being circulated in with calls upon the population to help track him down.
OSINT intelligence has revealed that of the 15 arrested there are 3 Malians, 1 Ivorian among others as the investigations are underway. The prosecutors have revealed that warrants for other suspects are being prepared as the investigations unfold.
The authorities said they are working with other countries in the investigation, and a reconstruction is planned in the coming days to better understand the succession of events.
Al Qaeda in the Islamist Maghreb claimed responsibility for the attack.
