The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for the Orlando Florida nightclub mass shooting which left 50 people dead and 53 injured in an alleged crowned gay nightclub in Florida early Sunday 12th June 2016.
US security authorities have confirmed the attack was an act of terrorists linked with ISIS. 29-year-old Omar Mateen confirmed the nightclub attacker.
Further report by authorities indicated that Omar Mateen was gunned down during the shootout with police as they broke into the night club to rescue 30 people held hostage.
The mass shooting in recent US history has seen a state of emergency being declared in Orlando with town mayor Buddy Dyer appealing for blood donations to help the victims hospitalized with critical injuries.
