
Iraqi army continues to battle Islamic State in Fallujah and as reported by Anadolu News Agency, the forces continue to push militants out of the key city.
The army recorded gains after they recaptured five areas in the troubled city of Fallujah from the terrorists.
Anbar Operations Commander Major-General Ismail Mahlawi also reported the forces gains saying they managed to liberate five areas in Falluja from Daesh assisted by tribal fighters taking control over them.
On Tuesday, Iraqi army backed by U.S.-led coalition airstrikes, launched an offensive and regained control of Fallujah in Anbar province.
Mahlawi said more than 130 Daesh terrorists were killed since the offensive was launched.
