
Monday 11th April 2016, Egyptian naval forces arrived in United Arab Emirates (UAE) where they are expected to conduct joint military training with Emirati units.
According to Egypt’s army spokesperson, Brigadier Mohamed Samir, the training exercises are aimed at unifying combat concept, exchange of training expertise and training on joint combat management using latest navy tactics.
The exercises come in context of a strategy aimed at strengthening naval forces between Egypt and the UAE in the wake of ISIS terrorism threats.
“Khalifa 2 exercises are one of the strongest and biggest joint exercises in the Gulf region” Brigadier Mohamed Samir noted.
Egyptian air force began a joint military training exercise in Kuwait with Kuwaiti counterparts on Saturday 9th April 2016.
