The A-Qaeda aligned Al-Shabaab suffered yet another blow after one of it senior commander was killed in a military mop up operation conducted in southern region of Somalia.
Al-Shabaab commander identified as Mohamed Abdi Suubiye alias Toosoow, was killed this past weekend in a military operation conducted by Special Forces unit at in Adan Yabaal town, Middle Shabelle region.
The terrorist commander is believed to be behind series of attacks latest on civilians and security forces including military bases in the southern part of the country.
Joint military operators have intensified operations against Al-Shabab extremists in central and southern regions where the militants are hiding in the rural areas, conducting ambushes and planting landmines on major supply routes/roads.
