The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against a suspected terrorist who was arrested in Hesse. The 20-year-old, identified only as Abduqaadir A will appear before a court in Frankfurt for having committed an attack on behalf of the terrorist militia Al-Shabaab based in Somalia and affiliated to al Qaeda.
The defendant was recruited in the spring of 2012 in Mogadishu by the terrorist militia Al-Shabaab and trained in a training camp dealing with weapons, according to the federal prosecutor. At this time, he was only 14 years old. On behalf of the terrorist militia, he is said to have supported an assassin during the training, who killed his victim in a mosque with three headshots.
He escaped to Germany in 2014 from where he is believed to have remained radical until his arrest by Hessian police.
