Iraqi Air Force Launched an Airstrike on IS Position Near Syria

Iraqi Air force launched an airstrike on a position of the Islamic State militants inside Syria in close proximity to the border of Iraq, according to the Iraqi military.

The Iraqi F-16 warplanes used crushed the logistic headquarters of IS in al-Deshisha area inside Syria.

So far, no report giving details of the result of the airstrike has been released.

This counts as the second airstrike this month this month on IS positions in Deshisha area, eastern Syria.

Both the strikes came as part of preventative airstrikes againt IS militants using the F-16 fighter jets.

At least 36 IS militants were killed on April 19, by an airstrike ordered by Haider al-Abadi the commander in chief of the Iraqi forces.
