Kenyan police in Turkana County arrested a man believed to be linked to an Islamic terrorist group al Shabaab on Tuesday.
Evans Kipkosgei, Alias Osman, was arrested following a tip-off from the administration of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in Lodwar.
Concerns that led to the arrest of Osman arose when the suspect inquired from a student in KMTC about the number of Muslim students in the institution.
The student is said to have reported the matter to the school principal who in turn reported the matter to Kenyan police leading to the man’s arrest.
