Al-Shabaab-owned Radio Andulus Destroyed By Security Forces In Lower Shabelle

Security forces in Lower Shabelle ambushed and destroyed Al-Shabaab-owned radio station Radio Andulus broadcasting from the region.

According to SNA force commander, General, Abdullahi Ali Anod, the Monday’s raid involved Somali army who destroyed Radio Andulus.

The well-coordinated operation against Al-Shabaab was carried out in Lower Shabelle region of Somalia, destroying Radio Andulus, an Al-Shabaab broadcaster and other militant’s assets.

The radio is used by Al-Shabaab to air propaganda on their terror operations.

The destruction of the radio station comes barely five days after Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo announced new series of air and ground offensive against the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab.
