An Al-Shabaab attack has left four dead after the terror group fighters open fired on a passenger bus in Lower Shabelle region, south of Somalia. The terrorists further abducted five passengers after shooting indiscriminately at the men, women, and children travelling in the fateful bus.
The bus came under attack on a road leading to Lantaburo area in Lower Shabelle region, a hotbed of the Al Qaeda-linked militant group Al Shabaab. According to eye witnesses, the bus was attacked by men armed with AK-47 rifles wearing face masks who fired on a four-wheel drive vehicle carrying passengers.
The shooting abduction comes amid an intense military operation against Al Shabaab in Lower Shabelle region by Somali troops, along with African Union peacekeepers.
