The death toll of yesterdays’ Mogadishu explosion stands at 17 with several reported to have sustained serious injuries.
In a Statement, the Somali based Harakat Shabaab has claimed responsibility of the RCVBIED that hit the capital Mogadishu
The remote controlled vehicle borne explosive device killed 17 people most of the civilians, including women street vendors. Scores were also injured from the evening blast.
The RCVBIED was parked along the main Maka Al-Mukarraa road opposite road opposite Hotel Weheliye.
The Al-Qaeda linked militants have severally deployed RCVBIED targeting security forces and their convoys in Somalia.
