Intelligence reports have refuted a communique by Islamic State terror group claiming that it killed an Army Sniper in Torabora area in The Pachir Aw Agam district of Nangarhar, Afghanistan.
Instead, military resources have been deployed to the province to conduct more counterterrorism operations. In recent months, Afghan forces have been reassessed the counter Terrorism strategy and operations have been planned to preempt threats posed by the group.
Afghan faces terrorism threats from both Al-Qaeda and the Islamic States. However, with the aid of US air and ground strikes, the militants have been pushed to the remote regions of the province.
