Taliban has claimed that 2 of its infiltrators in Haji Qudus Kor area of Greshk Bazaar in Helmand opened fire on police, killing eight police officers including the commander.
Afghan forces have refuted the information saying that a secretive Afghan government militia dressed as Taliban have been infiltrating the terror cells and eliminating the insurgents.
A member of the government militia said, “We have always inflicted harm on the enemy. We have killed their fighters and captured their weapons and ammunition,” the Sangorian member said. “This is why the enemy is keen to retaliate. They often use heavy weapons to attack our units.”
