Turkish Armed Forces in the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield hit at least 78 ISIL targets in northern Syria on Wednesday, Turkish military source has confirmed.
In a statement, Turkish Armed Forces confirmed to have struck 68 ISIL targets with 252 Firtina (storm) howitzer fire and 80 rounds of multiple rocket launchers.
The source noted the operation continues to register gains saying that a total of 118 residential areas in nearly 1000 square kilometers of northern Syria have so far been cleared of ISIL in the beginning of the operation
To date, 1,943 targets have been destroyed by over 7,432 rounds fired by Turkish Firtina howitzers and hundreds of Daesh militants killed.
