Troops from Nigerian and Chadian army repatriated 43 child soldiers, aged 12 and above, who had been kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group and forced to become fighters.
According to the spokesman for the Chadian Army, Col. Azem Agouna, the children who had been kidnapped and forced to become child soldiers took advantage of the clashes between the terrorists and soldiers to escape.
Agouna said the 43 child soldiers came out of their hideouts after it was evident that the Boko Haram militants have been sacked from the town. They approached the Chadian security forces for help.
It is now evident that Boko Haram is headed towards defeat after the Nigerian and Chadian soldiers invaded their last hideout in Sambisa Forest.
