The three terror convicts who escaped from the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison have been arrested in a remote village in Kitui County. Earlier, security agencies in Kitui were on red alert after locals reported that they had sighted the three fugitive terrorists.
The three Terror convicts are identified as Musharaf Abdallah Washiali aka Shukri aka Alex Shikanda (34), Joseph Juma Odhiambo (30) and Mohammed Ali Abikar (35) have been arrested within the border prefecture of Tana River and Mwingi. The three believed were trying to find their way to Garissa then cross-over to Somalia, the home-base of the Al-Qaeda affiliate, Al-Shabaab.
The Three dangerous terror convicts serving jail terms for various terror related crimes escaped from Kamiti Maximum Security Prison on 15th November, 2021. The escapees were serving time ranging from 41 years to 15 years.
