Yusuf Haji, a senior Al Shabaab commander has been killed in security forces raid in Baadhere area of Somalia.
Intelligence shows Haji was among a group of the terror groups top brass holding a meeting that focused on attacks on Kenya and Somalia.
Somali security forces report they captured some of the terror group members.
The meeting aimed at urging terror cells to conduct attacks against civilian and government targets desperately.
The Al Shabaab terror group has suffered worst defeats by Kenya military in recent past.
According to the Somali National Security Agency NISA a number of Harakat Al Shabaab Mujahideen senior members were captured while many of the militants were killed in the raid.
NISA further reports Al Shabaab were planning 4 terror attacks in Kenya and Somalia when a raid was conducted by the security forces.
