United States Africa Command in a communique confirmed that an airstrike conducted against the al Shabaab on Feb. 26 killed two terrorists and injured several others. The airstrike occurred near Jilib Middle Juba region.
This is the third airstrike against the al Qaeda affiliate in Somalia by the US in less than a week in what is being viewed as a very aggressive approach to eradicate the militants.
The US has further affirmed its commitment to ensuring that the militants are dealt with forthwith and with an aggressive strategy.
