The United States has conducted an airstrike in support of the Federal Government of Somalia in Middle Jubba region against the al Qaeda affiliated al Shabaab. The airstrike was conducted in the vicinity of Dujuuma areas and killed one al Shabaab terrorists.
Meanwhile, the United States has confirmed that no civilian casualties were reported during the operation near the village of Dujumma which is located about 6 kilometers from Bu’aalein Middle Juba.
The United States forces allied with Somali National Army have often carried out airstrikes in areas under Al-Shabaab control which resulted in the killing of many Al-Shabbab fighters and reduced their attacks in the region for the last two years.
