The US Africa Command has confirmed that in coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia they conducted 2 major airstrikes in the vicinity of Debatscile in Somalia.
In precision attacks on their training camps where at least 27 militants were killed. In a separate airstrike, another 10 mujahedeen were killed by another airstrike. Airstrikes reduce al Shabaab’s ability to plot future attacks, disrupt its leadership networks, and degrade its freedom of maneuver within the region.
In recent months US airstrike in central and southern to prevent al-Shabaab from taking advantage of safe havens from which they can build capacity and attack the people of Somalia and neighboring countries.
