Thursday 21st July 2016, latest military reports from Somalia indicate that the country’s government forces—SNA and Jubaland forces backed by unidentified warplanes raided and struck Al-Shabaab bases in Buuloguduud, north of Kismayo Lower Juba.
The warplanes targeted Al-Shabaab bases in Gosha and Baar villages, some 50 kilometers north of port city of Kismayo in Juba region of Somalia
The warplanes pounded Al-Shabaab positions enabling SNA commandos in joint operation with Jubaland forces to successfully overrun the militant’s compounds in Buuloguduud, north of Kismayo with over two dozen militants reportedly killed in the operation.
SNA and allied forces often clash with Al-Shabaab militants in Lower Juba region, a former stronghold for Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab fighters.
