Britain has said it will share skills, knowledge and expertise in security, energy and other sectors to help the Nigeria, further strengthening the traditional ties between the two governments.

UK’s Minister for Africa, Mr Grant Shapps while on a tour in Nigeria mid-October said that Britain has a trade relationship worth over £6 billion every year to her military cooperation against Boko Haram.
UK is providing a comprehensive package of support to Nigeria, including expanded military training and intelligence cooperation, anti-corruption capacity building and investigative support, and an annual development program worth £218 million, contributing to the increasing prosperity at the heart of a thriving trade relationship worth £6.1 billion per year.
Nigeria has had a good relationship with Britain and the latest move lauds the healthy ties that exist between the two countries.
