The U.S. military conducted an airstrike in Galgaduud region of Somalia killing five Al-Shabaab terrorists.
According to a statement from AFRICOM, the air raid against the Al-Qaeda (AQ) linked Al-Shabaab was conducted near El Burr town in Galgaduud region on Sunday. AFRICOM added that there was no civilian casualty.
The Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia continues to deal huge blows from Kenya and US increased airstrikes.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, nearly 100 Al-Shabaab fighters attacked AMISOM Forward Operating Base in Bula-Marer town.
The terrorist group claimed to have killed 59 soldiers, but AMISOM in a statement confirmed that only four UPDF soldiers were killed in the attack. AMISOM also said it killed about 30 Al-Shabaab terrorists during the gun battle.
