Unknown government Wednesday 8/02/2017 morning attempted to storm a hotel in Puntland’s commercial town of Bosaso.
Corresponding open sources briefs referencing locals indicate the two gunmen who engaged the armed hotel guards on gunfire were shot dead as they attempted to enter the hotel.
The attack targeted an international village hotel reportedly frequented by Puntland government officials and security officers.
No one or group has claimed responsibility of the failed attack but the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab and ISIS element present in the remote areas of Bari region in Puntland and Galgala mountains usually target hotels popular with government officials or security forces.
