The Kenyan security agencies has renewed its hunt for seven most wanted terrorists by publishing their pictures and issuing an alert for any information leading to the arrest.
Authorities have urged publib the listed armed and dangerous terror operatives.
A bounty reward of 2 million shillings on each has been put for any information that may lead to their arrests.
The seven terror figures whose pictures were released by the joint security agencies (Military, National Police, NIS) include:
- Idriss Ismael Issack
- Mohamed (full names not known)
- Abdullahi Issack Diyat aka Ubeyd
- Sharif Sheikh Arab
- Ahmed Mahat Mohamed aka Jerry
- Andikadir Haret Mohamed Yussuf Kuno aka Abu Ali
- Ahmed Maalim Bashir
The fresh alert on the seven comes as the Interior Ministry and other security agencies launched a major crackdown and massive manhunt for the wanted terror suspects believed to have an active cell in coastal region.
The terrorists also believed to be operating between Kenya and Somalia and involved in a spate of attacks in North Eastern Kenya (NEP) particularly in Mandera County.
Security agencies believe the listed terror figures were instrumental in planning and execution of Bisharo Lodge on Mandera on October 2016, Jabanae Hotel attack in January 2017 and Arabia Police raid in February 2017.
Joint security agencies wish to inform the public to remain vigilant noting whereas terror threat remains high, nation security agencies are on high alert and have taken necessary preemptive measures to avert such threat.
