Turkish warplanes destroyed terrorist PKK camps, weapons positions, arms dumps and shelters in northern Iraq in the latest operations, the military source has confirmed.
Warplanes struck a number of targets in northern Iraq’s Zap, Mt. Qandil, Sinat-Haftanin, Gara and Hakurk regions killing several PKK terrorists, the Turkish General Staff told media sources.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
