Somalia Reiterates Joint Military Offensives to Continue until Al-Shabaab is Defeated & Eliminated

Somalia has reiterated that the joint military offensives will continue across Somalia until the Al-Qaeda branch in the country is completely defeated and eliminated.

Information Minister Abdirahman Yarisow in a statement reiterate that the offensives in coordination with international partners will continue.

He stressed that the government will use all available resources, including foreign military support from our international partners in particular the United States of America and African forces (AMISOM),” Yarisow said.

The Somalia supported by all allied forces will continue to the military operations including the use of airstrikes against Al-Shabaab in response to the cowardly attacks against civilians, as well as on Somali security forces and AMISOM, the Minister added.
