
Turkish fighter jets have hit 24 targets of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the country’s southeastern region.
According to a press release by the military on Wednesday 30th September 2015, the airstrikes carried on on Tuesday 29 in the province of Hakkari destroyed PKK hideouts in the border towns of Yuksekova and Daglica and seized considerable ammunitions.
In another report from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over 30 PKK militants were killed in a cross-border offensive by the country’s army on September 25.
Turkey has been engaged in major security operations in its southern border region. The military have intensified their offensives against the Daesh terrorist’s positions in northern Syria as well as battling PKK militants hideouts in northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey.
PKK militants have been fighting to get control for an autonomous Kurdish region inside Turkey for decades, the gruesome conflict has left tens of thousands innocent civilians dead.
PKK is believed to be working with Daesh Takfiris and Turkish president has vowed that the fight with the PKK will continue until “not even one terrorist is left.”
