At least eight (8) ISIL linked terrorists were on Thursday arrested in the latest Turkish mop-up operation in Istanbul.
Turkish counter-terrorism squads carried out simultaneous raids in 14 localities in nine districts to arrested 11 wanted suspects who allegedly were plotting terror attacks.
During the raids, counter-terror police apprehended eight of the suspects. According to Turkish security sources, the operation continues in the remaining addresses.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to rid of ISIL terrorists in remaining strongholds.
Hundreds have lost their lives in ISIL-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror group has targeted civilians in a suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks.
