Ethiopia has more oil than any other regional player, Tullow Oil experts have projected after they briefed Ethiopian energy and oil industry officials on the Omo progress.
According to Tullow Oil, the company that struck oil in Ngamia 1 in Kenya and in Uganda, Ethiopian oil reserves are significantly or rather potentiall very high.
Precisely, Ethiopia oil reserves are potentially larger than any of those discovered in Kenya and Uganda based on Tullow Oil’s projections and surveys.
Tullow Oil has informed Ethiopian officials about this oil potential.
Intelligence reports and analysis on the Ethiopian oil and gas exploration particulalry on the Omo basin which lies within the Rift Valley and the channel where Kenyan oil was found show that Tullow is in the process of finalizing strategic surveys.
Tullow is finalizing its complete tensor gradimametric gravity survey besides wrapping up the strategic collection of seisimic Data.
