Syrian army reportedly discovered large quantities of weapons and ammunitions hidden in several areas in the recently-liberated north Homs pocket as the government security forces continue wide-scale mop-up operations.
The weapon caches that were found in an area located between Teir Maalah and Dart Kabeera towns, include mortar shells and launchers, hell canons, homegrown rockets, MLRs launchers, gas masks among other ammunitions.
Rebel fighters in north Homs accepted an evacuation deal to the country’s north after handing over their weapons. The Syrian government officially took over the entire area as hundreds of Al-Qaeda linked militants chose to settle their status and remain in their towns and their hideouts.
