At least three Somali people were killed and several others wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a busy restaurant in Mogadishu’s Yaqshid district.
According to Somali police report, Al-Shabaab’s suicide bomber blew himself up infront of a busy restaurant that is frequented by local youths, killing three innocent people and wounding several others. Those wounded were taken by ambulances to various hospitals in the capital for treatment.
In another attack, an intelligence (NISA) officer and two of his bodyguards were killed after a landmine explosion targeted his vehicle in the Daynile district in Mogadishu.
Terrorist threat in the Somalia’s capital Mogadishu continue to multiply. The Al-Qaeda associated militant group Al-Shabaab that has persistently waged attacks in an effort of toppling the weak Mogadishu based administration claimed responsibility for that attack and said its fighters ambushed security officials and killed more than several Somalia soldiers.
