Sudan’s Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday 16/5/2018 the launch of a new squadron of newly joined Chinese-made combat aircraft of the multi-tasked FTC 2000 Air Force.
According to Joint Chiefs of Staff Chief Lieutenant General Kamal Abdul-Maarouf, the new aircraft were a quality addition to combat efficiency The Sudanese Air Force.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Lieutenant General Abdul-Maarouf said the aircraft will greatly enhance the country’s defense capabilities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Major General Awad Khalafallah Marawi Deputy Chief of Staff, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, a number of Armed Forces leaders and representatives of the Northern State Government, as well as the Military Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Khartoum.
He praised the Sudanese-Chinese relations and the development witnessed in all fields and praised their positions in support of Sudan in all international forums.
