3rd December 2015, a bomb believed to have been mounted under the car seat exploded and wounded a state media female journalist.
The female journalist who works for a state radio was badly wounded when an improvised explosive device mounted to a car seat exploded near Turkish embassy building in Mogadishu on Thursday.
According to local media reports from Mogadishu, the female journalist identified as Hindiya Hajji was driving alone when her car exploded. Another pedestrian was also injured in the explosion believed to have been orchestrated by the Al Shabaab militants.
Hindiya was rushed to hospital to undergo medical attention.
In an ill-fated twist, the journalist’s husband was killed in an explosion at The Village restaurant in 2012 alongside a member of parliament in Mogadishu.
