A 17 year old Stagg High School student John Granat Killed his own parents Maria Granat and John Granat at their Palos Park home, police have alleged in one of the most shocking crimes in recent days.
Seventeen-year-old John Granat is accused of beating his parents to death with a blunt object, a pathologists report indicates after a postmortem was conducted on their bodies.
The 17-year old boy John Granat is a student at Stagg High School. John Granat had a broken jaw, teeth knocked out and his kidney lacerated while Maria Granat, was repeatedly stabbed.
Police denied the killer bail.
His relatives were present when the bail hearing was presented.
Granat gave police a conflicting story about his whereabouts when her parents were found dead in their palatial house by police officers.
The wealthy Maria Granat and John Granat were killed by their own son, police have argued after evidence gathered along with statements made by John Granat showed possibilities the boy committed the murders.
Police had earlier interrogated Granat and recorded a statement with him only to realize that the information the boy provided with regard to his whereabouts was contradictory.
It is alleged John Granat had threatened his parents with death though the motive of the deaths is yet to be determined, police said.

Maria Granat is 42-years-old while her husband John Granat is 44-years-old
