Somalia’s Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire ordered multi-security agencies in Somali to intensify security “hundred percent”.
The PM demanded the police, intelligence agents and the army to heightened security especially in the capital Mogadishu after attacks by terror fighters Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen (HSM) that killed at least 50 people in last Friday’s twin bombing.
Khaire noted that security is the utmost priority to the citizens of Somalia. He also encouraged troops fighting Al-Shabaab saying the two explosions should not demoralized them.
He noted of strides the joint forces have made in combating the Islamist group capability.
Somali troops and AU forces will have to improve security in Mogadishu if they are to earn the support of the public who doubt the two groups can stop Al-Shabab attacks.
Khaire echoed the need to win public support and has urged the soldiers to show compassion in order to get the much need intelligence and cooperation.
