Somali’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo led a high-level delegation in his first state visit to Turkey. Farmajo made the visit after receiving an official visit from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The visit to Turkey will be President Farmajo’s visit fifth state visit since he assumed office. During the three-day state visit to Turkish, he will meet his Turkish counterpart President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan where they are expected to hold talks on bilateral relations between two nations.
Other areas the two are expected to discuss is on the issues of trade, security, humanitarian aid among others.
Accompanying the president include, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Garad Omar, Federal lawmakers and other officials.
Since his election, Somali President Farmaajo made tremendous efforts to further cooperation and improve country's diplomatic relations with foreign countries.
