
Somalia security agents have scaled-up security operations in the country’s capital Mogadishu following Al-Shabaab attacks.
According to Abdikamil Mo’allim Shukri the spokesman of the Somalia’s Internal Security Ministry, SNA, NISA and police forces are working together to ramp up security in Mogadishu and surrounding localities,
Shukri further has revealed that troops have raided house in Deynile district, where they arrested two wounded middle-aged men linked to Al Shabaab terrorist group. Assortment of weaponry seized during the operation.
Shukri attributed the arrests from the residents who provided Police and NISA with information about militant’s presence in the area.
The spokesman underscored that Mogadishu security is gradually improving to the routine joint force operations saying they will continue until peace and stability in the seaside city is restored.
Others forces in AMISOM are also credited for greatly contributing to pacifying of Mogadishu and major towns and localities across Somalia.
