Wednesday 10th December 2015; the South Korean Government donated luxury bullet-proof VIP vehicles to Somali’s foreign ministry. The donation is one in a series of donation streaks to the Horn of Africa country that has been battling Al Shabaab militants.
The donation from South Korea has restored the diplomatic ties between the two countries and will go along away in protecting diplomats who have in the past been the target of gun and land mine attacks from the al Shabaab militants.
Somalia has in the past few months received aid in form of military, tertiary and technical equipment from countries like; UAE, Italy, Japan and the United States. Most countries have renewed their commitment to help Somalia fight the militants, advance the post-conflict development as well as raise the standards of living of the Somali people.
