At least 10 Somali terrorists were killed when Somali Special Forces – Danab – raided and destroyed a terrorist base in Lower Shabelle region.
Military radio reported that the attack took place near Leego village in Lower Shabelle region, where Al-Shabaab had checkpoints to collect money from the locals to boost their economy.
According to Danab Special Forces commander Ahmed Abdulahi Sheikh, the army raided and destroyed the biggest Al-Shabaab base near Leego in Lower Shabelle region killing at least 10 Al-Shabaab fighters.
Somali forces have intensified their security operations against the Al-Qaeda affiliated group, Al-Shabaab, which many believe remains dangerous terror outfit in the horn of Africa nation.
