
Somali police launched a major manhunt operation to apprehend mastermind of the Bardheere roadside bomb attack on Thursday.
According to the deputy commissioner of Bardere police Salad Abdulle, there were a number of police raids carried out late on Thursday, searching for the culprits responsible of the IED attack that left at least one person killed and others wounded in Bardheere, a town in Gedo region.
Bardheere town which was under the reign of Al-Shabaab terrorists since 2008 was recaptured by Kenyan and Somali forces but some of Al-Shabaab elements still conduct guerilla attacks targeting SNA and allied AU forces.
