OSINT SUMMARY
Somali National Army troops on Tuesday raided an Al-Shabaab hideout at KM-50 in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region killing 14 Al-Shabaab terrorists and injuring scores.
Confirming on the successful offensive and referenced by the state-run Somalia National News Agency (SONNA), Deputy Minister of Defense of the Somali Federal Government, H.E. Abdalla Hussein Ali said that SNA killed 14 Al-Shabaab militants and injured several others at KM-50 area in lower Shabelle region.
The Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab militants were killed in an operation conducted in the area on Tuesday afternoon following HUMINT from the locals. Senior Al-Shabaab militants were among those targeted in the afternoon operation.
Weapons and ammunition including AK 47 riffles, 2 RPGs, IEDs were recovered.
