The fight against Al-Shabaab in the past weeks has seen the Somali based jihadist group suffer huge blows.
On Tuesday 29th March 2016, the President of the Interim Galmudug Administration Abdikarim Hussein Guled that his local forces arrested four foreigners in the Al-Shabaab ranks during combat.
According Mr Guled, Galmudug forces have arrested more than 100 Al-Shabaab fighters in separate military operations in Mudug region among them foreign nationals.
Narrowing down, among the arrested on Tuesday operations include two Kenyans and one Tanzanian Al-Shabaab fighter’s capture alive in Galmudug region by the Somalia Forces.
Somali National Security’s Commander in Galmudug State Sadaq Omar Hassan confirmed that security forces killed 115 Al-Shabaab fighters whom included foreign fighters in Mudug region.
Hassan also confirmed two of whom were of Kenyan and Tanzanian nationals were captured alive.
